Grain Packing

PLC controlled grain handling conveyor system.

Formula Forage Australia has a PLC controlled packing line, with capacity to pack a shipping container in 240 seconds. All silos have electro mesh gates operated by gear drives which are controlled by PLC automation. This allows the operator to blend grains to exact measures and better service our clients needs.
Located within an 80km drawing arc of grain producing towns like Yarrawonga, Corowa, Balldale, Burrumbuttock, Rand and Culcairn, and positioned 200m from a rail freight terminal and 1km from the Hume Freeway, offers attractive logistics from farm to Port of Melbourne.
Fumigation services are provided using either Methyl Bromide or Quickphos, with 120mt “hospital silo’s” we can limit fumigation costs by segregating contaminated grain to treat the smaller consignment before its comingled.
